The Salinas Valley Health is a public district hospital in Salinas, California. Originally built in 1953, SVMH has 263 hospital beds and 1,800+ employees and primarily serves residents of the Salinas Valley. Specialized facilities and programs include the Regional Heart Program, the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Joint Replacement Center, Regional Spine Center, Women and Children, Regional Wound Healing Center, an Emergency Department and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). An expanded Emergency Department to accommodate the area’s growing population is underway.
