Adventist Health Bakersfield (AHBD) is a 254 bed facility located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, Calif., serving Bakersfield and the communities of Kern County for more than 100 years. It was built on the Seventh-day Adventist faith and mission to improve the health of communities by sharing God’s love through physical, mental and spiritual healing. The medical center has received more 5-star awards than any other hospital in Kern Country for heart, neurological, maternity, gastrointestinal care and more. AHBD was the only hospital in Kern Country to receive Leapfrog “A” rating for its commitment to keeping patients safe and meeting the highest safety standards.
